Bluetree Café is the brainchild of brothers Kevin and Steve Aoki, who have busy careers as a restaurateur and music producer. Their dream was to build a comfortable space where guests could get a healthy bite to eat, sip on tea, coffee, or juices, meet with friends, or have some quiet time for reflection. The inspiration for the cozy gathering place was their grandfather, Yunosuke Aoki, who was the first in their family to open a coffee shop in his hometown of Nihonbashi, Japan. Yunosuke would travel four miles on a bicycle to Tokyo to collect sugar, return to his shop, and offer it free to enhance his customer’s coffee. The variety of vintage bicycles that decorate the walls of the café are a nod to him and his entrepreneurial spirit.

All the food is made fresh every day and features the popular acai bowls and smoothies served without added sugar or powders. Bluetree Café is proud to be BPA (bisphenol A, an industrial chemical used to make plastics) free. Instead, glass bottles, ceramic mugs, and bowls are vessels of choice to keep customers safe, happy, and healthy.
